Now looking forward, I shared a sketch I was working on as we are house shopping in Charlotte. Making sure the room dimensions and layout would work for our family. Member question! Suggestions for a staircase wall? – I personally would love to see that great architectural detail continued through that wall. The existing artwork speaks for itself so I wouldn’t want to add to much else. My suggestion would be to add more trim to that wall in full, and then add a decorative sconce at eye level as you stand at the landing. Another idea would be to add a console table to the niche where your cute horse lives now. You can add a tall vase there and stack books and that would add depth to the space and conquer the negative space in that area.
